Q - Who do I go to for warranty claims or questions?
A - Contact Customer Service by e-mail sales@rad2go.com or by calling us at (760) 479-1888. You can also fax any questions you may have to (760) 632-7232.

Q - If I alter a Rad2Go product will it void my warranty?
A - Yes, any alteration will void the warranty. Rad2Go products are designed with matched parts for a given application. Any alterations can cause stress on the rest of the components causing failure.

Q - How long does it take to charge a Rad2Go battery?
A- Charging takes between six and ten hours depending on the model to be charged. Rad2Go electric scooters all include a "Smart Charger" that constantly monitors the battery to meet its current charging needs. Smart Chargers are equipped with an LED indicator that will change colors to notify you when the unit is fully charged. You cannot over charge the Rad2Go electric scooter battery and it does not have a memory so it can be charged without draining completely.

Q - How long does the battery last?
A - You will get approximately 300 cycles out of each set of batteries.

  • E-scooter - approximately 3,600 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.
  • ZZ Cruiser - approximately 3,600 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.
  • Leopard Shark - w/wo seat approximately 3,600 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.
  • Tiger Shark - approximately 4,800 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.
  • Great White - w/wo seat approximately 4,800 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.
  • Mo-Rad 1500 - approximately 15,000 miles before battery set needs to be replaced.

Q - Does Rad2Go have Technical Support?
A - Rad2Go has three Customer Service Representatives and three Service Mechanics dedicated to Technical Support and Customer Care.

Q - What are the laws for E- Scooters?
A - Laws vary from City to City and State to State and there are Federal laws as well. Consult your local law enforcement agency for current laws and vehicle codes.

Q - Do I have to charge the batteries before riding the first time?
A - Rad2Go's line of electric vehicles come partially charged. We recommend that each unit be fully charged before operating for the first time.

Q - Does my E-Scooter have to be in the off position when charging?
A - For the fastest and most efficient charging, your electric vehicle should be in the off position while charging.

Q - How tight should my belt or chain be?
A - The belt or chain, depending on the model, operates best with 1/2" to 1" total play. Total play is measured from furthest point of travel one direction to the furthest point of travel in the opposite direction.

Q - What should my tire pressure be at?
A - For your electric vehicle to perform to its optimum level the tire pressure needs to be inflated to 35 PSI for non-airless tires

Q - How do I get air into the rear tire of my scooter?
A - If your scooter model requires one, you will have a valve extension in the tool bag provided with your new scooter. The valve extension will enable access to the valve stem on the rear tire.

Q - Does Rad2Go offer airless tires?
A - The ZZ Cruiser and Reflexx scooters were successfully tested with airless tires in 2002. Due to the success of our airless tire tested on these scooters, all electric scooters manufactured by Rad2go after January 1, 2003 will come standard with the airless technology we developed.

Q - Why does my electric vehicle make a constant beep?
A - The constant beep is the signal to charge the battery. Please charge the unit when a constant beep is heard.
